Efficient Driving Tips


Slow Down - Gas mileage usually decreases rapidly at speeds above 60 mph.Limit Idling - Idling for 15 minutes can burn 1/4 gallon of fuel.

Drive Sensibly - Aggressive driving (speeding, rapid acceleration and braking) can lower your gas mileage by 33 percent at highway speeds and by 5 percent around town.

2013 Chevrolet Malibu Sales Increase 50% In March
The Chevrolet Malibu was the star of March sales. Deliveries of the new Malibus, which started hitting sales floors in February, surged 53.6 percent in March to 23,887.

Those results made the vehicle, produced at General Motors Co.’s Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas, the company’s top-selling car in March, surpassing the Chevrolet Cruze for the first time in several months. The Malibu now is one of the nation’s best selling cars.

March Best Month Ever For High mpg Chevrolets

General Motors Co. released sales figures Monday confirming that its 12 vehicles getting 30 mpg or better on the highway will have combined U.S. sales of 100,000 or more for March — its highest ever monthly total for the automaker.

"GM's strategic investments in four-cylinder and turbocharged engines, advanced transmissions and vehicle electrification have been very well timed," Mark Reuss, president of GM North America, said in a statement. "Three years ago, about 16 percent of the vehicles GM sold achieved at least 30 mpg on the highway. Today, that number is about 40 percent and we have more new fuel-economy leaders on the way, including the Chevrolet Spark"
