Jeff finishes 25th in Phoenix

On Saturday April 18th in the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway Jeff only managed a 25th place finish after running much of the race in the top 10. It was not until a bad pit stop late in the race that put Jeff well down in the points finishing 25th. Jeff's points lead has now been reduced to 85 points over teammate Jimmie Johnson. Fellow Hendrick Motorsports teammates Dale Earnhart Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Mark Martin finished 31st, 4th and 1st.

Jeff Gordon wins in Texas

Jeff finally got his first win of the season and stopped his 47-winless streak in the Samsung 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway. Jeff now leads the points standings by 162 points ahead of 2nd place Jimmie Johnson. Fellow Hendrick Motorsports team mates Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Mark Martin finished 20th and 2nd and 6th.

Jeff finishes fourth in Martinsville, VA

Jeff finishes fourth in Martinsville, VA

On Sunday March 29th Jeff finished in fourth place at the Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway. It was another almost win in which Jeff lead for many laps in the early part of the race. A fourth place finish meant that Jeff would maintain his overall championships points lead ahead of Clint Bowyer by 89 points.
