Jeff finished in the top 10 yet again in the Ford 400 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday and fellow teammate Jimmie Johnson finished 5th and picked up his fourth straight NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship. As a result Jimmie Johnson makes NASCAR history as the first driver to win four consecutive championship titles.
Jeff is 3rd in the overall standings just 179 points behind overall leader and champion Jimmie Johnson. It has been a strong showing in the 2009 Sprint Cup Series with 3 out of the 4 Hendrick drivers occupying the top 3 spots.
Fellow Hendrick Motorsport teammates Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Mark Martin finished 28th, 5th and 12th in Miami.
