OASIS NC was created based on the belief that children with autism should be able to learn and play in a nurturing environment where their unique personalities are celebrated and their differences are appreciated.  OASIS NC is a place where children with autism will experience friendship, recreation, and personal growth.

WWAY TV3 reported that the staff and teachers were using their own vehicles to take the students once a week to an indoor UNCW facility to get exercise and socialization skills.

Today, Jeff Gordon Chevrolet and Enterprise Rent-A-Car will be picking up the entire staff and all students for a day of fun, soccer and pizza at the Wilmington Hammerheads Youth FC Capelli Sports Center. Caroline West at Headway Marketing generously donated Chevrolet backpacks and all kinds of swag so each student will be going home with fantastic memories and souvenirs as we #DayItForward 

Jeff Gordon Chevrolet is also helping them with their fund raising efforts by offering a chance to win a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu when you make a donation to their Buy The Bus Campaign

100% of the funds donated will be used to purchase a school bus for OASIS NC, a center for children with autism. Any extra funds will go toward scholarships and expanding to a high school.

This bus will enable their students to:

• Visit all of the amazing places our community has to offer.
• Participate in hands-on learning experiences.
• Apply the social skills they have been learning in the “real world”.
• Visit potential volunteer and vocational opportunities.
• Allow students to attend our after school program that , may lack of transportation.
• Enable the community to see how smart, kind, and funny our kids are, while disabling common stereotypes about autism.
