In celebration of the full size utility vehicle’s diamond anniversary, General Motors has unveiled the special edition Suburban 75th Anniversary to mark the occasion at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show. This special edition Suburban will go on sale early this summer and is limited to just 2,570 units, so call Jason today to discuss availability and ownership options!!

The celebratory ’burban is distinguished by a very fitting White Diamond Tricoat exterior finish and an upscale Cashmere interior complete with "Diamond Edition" embroidered headrests and matching etching on the kick plates. Other unique upgrades to celebrate the Suburban’s landmark birthday are a set of bespoke chrome clad 20 inch wheels with matching door pulls and roof rack; but it’s the 75th Anniversary gold and black Suburban Diamond Edition badges both inside and out that will give the celebratory Chevy away to unfamiliar eyes.

Jeff Gordon Chevrolet Assists Local Girl Scouts in Attaining Car Sense Badge


Thirty four North Carolina Coastal Pines Girl Scouts learned about becoming safe informed drivers at the Car Sense Badge Workshop held at Jeff Gordon Chevrolet. The activities included skill builders such as checking fluids, changing oil/filters, checking tire pressure and assembling a roadside emergency kit. They also learned about vehicle technology including how anti-lock brakes work, air bags and even how to research vehicle prices and safety ratings on line.

Trooper Phillips and Trooper Smith of the N.C. Highway Patrol spoke at length to the Girl Scouts about the dangers of drinking while driving, texting while driving and what it means to be a defensive driver. The Troopers also discussed the responsibility of a drivers license and how to register a vehicle. At the conclusion, the girls all got an opportunity to sit in a Patrol Car.

Not surprising, the girls picked the new Camaro as their favorite car on the lot.

"We look forward to assisting the Girl Scouts in this important endeavor" said Jeff Gordon Chevrolet’s General Sales Manager Scott Spivey. "The scouts are learning important basic skills like checking tire pressure and oil/windshield washer fluid levels which will help make them more confident drivers and car owners."

The Camaro H.O. V6 Performance Package
Designed for the enthusiast seeking a balance of performance and impressive efficiency. Begining with the base Camaro Coupe, already an incredible value, Hendrick Performance takes a tried and true Hot Rodder’s approach utilized by Camaro Enthusiasts for decades. The heart of the Camaro H.O. is a sophisticated direct-injected 3.6 Liter power plant fitted with a Hendrick Performance “Air Induction” inlet, a Hendrick Performance computer program and stainless steel performance exhaust system with polished outlets. The enhanced engine produces 325 HP, delivering seat-of-the-pants responsiveness that feels livelier than most V8’s. And the H.O. doesn’t stop there. Just like every great athlete needs track shoes, the H.O. V6 receives Hendrick Performance’s attention in the handling department too, via the “Hugger” performance suspension system. Revised springs and sway bars help put the power to the pavement. Standard 20x8 front and 20x9.5 inch rear alloy wheels fitted to all season P-Zero performance tires further enhance the handling capabilities of the H.O. Each Camaro H.O. is fitted with a Hendrick Performance “tail-splitter” rear deck spoiler, made of genuine carbon fiber in the same shop that produces championship-winning parts for every Hendrick driver. The icing on the cake is the optional Hendrick Performance Carbon Fiber bodywork package which includes a revised fascia with integral “Snake-Splitter” chin spoiler and rear diffuser. There are optional stripe packages to go even further, custom mixed from the Dupont Hot Hues line.

The Hendrick Performance H.O. SS
Think of the H.O SS as the big brother of the H.O. V6. Granted it’s a really mean big brother, one that started life as a Camaro SS with a huge 6.2 Liter V8. We take the same approach with the V8 as we took with the H.O. V6. A Hendrick Performance “Air Induction” system, Hendrick Performance computer program, underdriven engine accessory drive pulleys and a stainless steel high performance exhaust system work in harmony to create 465 horsepower. As a bonus, the engine creates it’s own soundtrack that lets everyone know they’re playing with fire. When the road get’s twisty, the H.O. SS has it’s own version of the “Hugger” suspension system, designed specifically for the weight and power of the all-aluminum 6.2 liter V8. Forged, three-piece alloy wheels measuring 20x8.5 in front and 20x10 inches in the rear mount the 225 and 275 all-season performance tires and come standard as part of the H.O. SS package. Add the optional Hendrick Performance Carbon Fiber bodywork package and it becomes an even more sinister big brother, old school looks and apocalyptic burn outs just like back in the day!

Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Performance Group and Camaro Enthusiast, has joined forces with Detroit Speed to engineer a Performance Handling Kit for the 2010 Camaro. This kit is available through Jeff Gordon Chevriolet & select Hendrick Automotive Dealerships as an upgrade for the 2010 Camaro. The Performance Handling Kit includes Front and Rear Drop Springs and a Front and Rear Sway Bar. The Drop Springs lower the ride height to give your car a more aggressive stance. The increased progressive spring rates provide improved performance handling while retaining excellent ride quality. They are a direct replacement to the factory 2010 Camaro springs. The DSE Drop Springs retain the factory isolators. The Front and Rear Sway Bars have a larger diameter than the OEM bars with an increased rate for improved performance handling. The Front Sway Bar also includes high-performance fully adjustable aluminum end links. These end links are a great way to upgrade from the small factory end links that are in your stock Camaro. The Sway Bars are powdercoated gloss black. The Sway Bar bushings and custom heavy duty end links are also black for a clean uniform finish.
